LGBTQ+ Business Assist Program

Miel Franco Pérez, Business Assist Outreach Lead, they|themThe LGBTQ+ Business Assist Program through the Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is a set of FREE resources available for any business owners who are members of a marginalized community.

Starting and growing a business doesn't look the same for everyone. Businesses owned by marginalized community members can often be left behind, highlighting inequities that existed before the economic downturn.

Are you a small business owner in Salt Lake County looking for resources to help your business grow?

The Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce has joined forced with the Salt Lake County Office of Regional Development to facilitate access to free resources, focusing on:

  1. Launching your first small business or side venture.
  2. Expanding and empowering your current small business.
  3. Assisting your small business in recovering from the economic impacts of COVID.

We offer diverse resources such as:

  • Social media, marketing, and business strategy support.
  • Loans up to $50,000 tailored for startups and existing businesses that don't meet traditional funding criteria.
  • Short-term aid in organizing business accounts, generating financial statements, setting up QuickBooks, handling tax documentation, and more.
  • General advice to aid in business plans, market research, certifications, licensing, and legal guidance.

To apply for this program, please fill out the form. Following this, you can set up an appointment with our business referral lead, Miel Franco Pérez (they/them).

We're excited about contributing to a more diverse and inclusive economy in Utah.
